AP
AP is a program to prepare high school students for university-level studies, including coursework and standardized testing. College Board administers AP exams and SAT. AP courses provide university-level content to students in advance and offer college credits based on achieving required AP exam scores.
Students can enroll in AP courses before taking the exam to gain university-level learning experiences while still in high school. AP courses allow students to select subjects of interest to broaden knowledge, improve problem-solving skills, and gain readiness for university studies. Passing AP courses can exempt students from introductory courses in university and enhance their university applications. Additionally, AP courses can help students explore career options and enable them to choose subjects that match their interests as there are 38 courses divided into different areas, including AP Capstone, Arts, English, History and Social Science, Maths & Computer Science, Sciences, and World Languages & Cultures.

Eligibility for AP courses?
High school students who are interested in preparing themselves to acquire knowledge and skills and to become ready for university-level studies in the United States and Canada.
The Characteristics of the AP Exam.
The two sections of the AP exam for all subjects include multiple-choice questions and free-response exam questions.
AP Score
Scores on the AP exam are divided into 5 levels, with level 5 being the highest or equivalent to A+. Passing the exam requires a minimum score of 3.
AP Exam Registration Process.
The AP exam is held annually in May, and the scores are released in July. Students can take the exam without enrolling in any school; hence, homeschooling is an option. International schools offering AP courses can directly register students. Exam time for each subject is around 2-3 hours starting at 8:00 AM. The exam fee for international students is 123 USD.
AP Exam Schedule
The AP exam is held from May 1-5 and May 8-12 with the scores being released in July. Scores can be accessed online at www.apscore.org using the College Board account that was created during registration at www.collegeboard.org/register. Exam centers in Thailand are international schools offering AP courses and serving as test centers.
