The BMAT exam is for those who wish to pursue a career in medicine or dentistry, both in Thailand and abroad. The exam can be taken both domestically and internationally. Registration methods depend on the testing round, and can be done online on the official website or through designated testing centers. There are approximately nine BMAT testing centers in Thailand with a test fee ranging from 7,000-9,000 baht. Students can also download past BMAT exams from up to 10 years ago.
I believe many of you are competing for a spot in medical school programs both in Thailand and abroad, as international medicine programs are becoming increasingly popular. In addition to excelling in science, strong English proficiency is also necessary in speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Therefore, we strongly suggest that students prepare themselves for the BMAT exam from both the scientific and language proficiency standpoint, as missing any skill could render one unprepared for this program. So, it’s best to start preparing yourselves as early as possible.
In addition to the aforementioned score groups, there is another important score for international medicine programs, which is the BMAT score. Some may have heard of it, but some students may not be aware of this exam. In today’s world, where competition is intense, students preparing to apply for international medicine programs at Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, and Mahidol University must be familiar with this exam and must strive to score highly on it. Don’t miss out on this exam, students!
